Punta Gnifetti - Signalkuppe

Day three of the Spaghetti Tour started at 4:30 a.m. from the Gnifetti Hut. Perfect weather – clear skies, sunshine, no wind. The kind of day you dream of in the high Alps. We climbed the Corno Nero first, then moved on to Ludwigshöhe, continued to the Parrotspitze, and finally stood on the Signalkuppe – home to the legendary Capanna Margherita. The hut was closed, so we slept in the winter room at 4,554 m – cooking our own meal and watching the sun set over the Monte Rosa massif.
