After crossing the Alphubel, my father and I spent the night at the Mischabeljochbivouac — an absolutely amazing spot.
The next morning, around 3 a.m., we set off toward the Täschhorn. Conditions were really tough: the ridge still had unstable snow on the western side, but was completely icy on the eastern side, making it impossible to stay directly on it, and the flanks were unstable and dangerous and almost impossible to protect !
After a long, exhausting climb (about 5h hours), we finally reached the summit. We had thought about continuing with the Täschhorn–Dom traverse, but we already decided against it before leaving (having had a look at the conditions in the evening) and returned instead to the Mischabeljoch bivouac. Thr descent felt endless and was super tiring. After a short rest back at the bivouac, we finally made our way down to Täsch via the Weingartengletscher.
