Breithornzwillinge

Breithorn Traverse E → W – Traverse of the five 4,000-meter peaks of the Breithorn:
Roccia Nera (4,075 m), East Twin (4,106 m) and West Twin (4,139 m), then Breithorn Central (4,159 m) and West Breithorn (4,164 m).

Conditions at the end of the 2023 season were difficult on the snow-covered sections, with the slopes mostly bare ice, while the rocky sections were good (almost completely dry).

After a night in the Bivacco Rossi e Volante, we set off around 5:30 a.m. and arrived just in time for the last cable car at the Klein Matterhorn.

A very beautiful route with good rock and good protection. Only the very bare (ice-exposed) slopes were somewhat difficult for us at the time.
