The Unspectacular -> 4,206 Meters
We started our trip in Täsch and drove up to the parking area. From there, we hiked to the Täsch Hut, which only took about 40 minutes – a short and pleasant walk. We spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing with goats, and later stayed overnight in the winter room since the hut itself was closed.
The next morning, we set off around 4–5 a.m. We began in regular shoes, but once we reached the glacier, we switched into proper mountaineering boots. We continued up to the pass, then climbed toward the “Eisnase” and from there ascended the Alphubel. The route felt steady and straightforward, and we reached the summit without difficulty.
After enjoying the peak, we descended on the opposite side and made our way down to the Mischabelljochbivouac located between the Alphubel and the Täschhorn,
the way down was quite difficult and very technical, exposed, and crumbly. We stayed in preparation for climbing the Täschhorn the following day.
