Heading for the Jungfrau (4,158 m) — everything went smoothly… until it didn’t.
At around 3,900 m, we faced a risky traverse with a massive drop into a crevasse field.
The snow was heavily windblown, resting on weak layers — too dangerous to continue.
We turned around. And that’s okay.
Sometimes the bravest summit is the one you don’t climb.
The mountain will still be there tomorrow — and so will we.
It was still a magical outing: great snow up to 3,900 m, sunshine, and our first ski tour in a while.
